Both services will feature Sinfonias in C Maj, C Min and D Maj as well as Etude No. 3 Op. 49 by Louis Farrenc (N. Fahlman). Each service will conclude with Herr Jesu Christ dich zu uns wend (G. Hunt).
Nicole Hankemeier-Fahlman began as Kantorin/Music Leader for St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in the summer of 2009 having served as choir accompanist for West Portal Lutheran of San Francisco and piano teacher in the West Portal Lutheran Afterschool Music Academy as well as Keyboard Educators Inc. Before moving to San Francisco she spent ten years teaching piano and in the process aquired a position as church pianist and music teacher for Trinity Lutheran Church. She later served as music leader for Lutheran Community Church of Watsonville which included arranging recitals for herself and her students. In addition to her teaching and Lutheran Church leadership she has filled in at St. Patrick's Catholic of Watsonville and played for weddings and funerals.
Mrs. Fahlman majored in music education with an emphasis on keyboard/choral studies during the Habermann era at San Francisco State University. Under the guidance of Victoria Neve, Nicole completed a piano recital as her senior project before going on to spend a year studying voice with Megan Stetson. She received her Associate of Arts Degree in Music from Cabrillo College where she studied piano with Phil Welsh.
